Main issues you can come across when giving your cat fruits and vegetables

First of all, you shouldn’t give these snacks to your cat daily. As we already mentioned, cats are carnivores, so all they need is meat. Fruits and vegetables can be just rewarding supplements for them.

It is essential to mention that cats are inquisitive. So they love to watch what their owners eat. And they want to taste it at all costs. If you enjoy it so much, why can’t they do the same?

However, cats are also very picky. So if you want your fluffy to eat the snack you give, you need to show a lot of emotions when eating it yourself.

Cut a small piece of a snack and taste it. Make sure your cat observes the process. Now you can cut another piece and put it on the plate for your kitty. It may smell it for a couple of minutes, and then eat. Don’t be afraid. If your cat saw you enjoying the process, it’s likely to try that snack too.

If your cat still refuses to eat the snack you gave, you should better give up the idea. Consult your vet to find out where the source of the problem is. Sometimes it is all about your cat’s temper and habits. If you took your cat from a shelter, there is a possibility someone poisoned it before. And now it is afraid to taste something new.

First, get all the answers and then move on.

As you see, it is okay to give blueberries to your cat in small amounts. This fruit may be a rewarding food your fluffy gets from you as a sign of friendship.

However, you need to remember that you can’t just replace your cat’s ordinary meal with blueberries. This may lead to a series of health problems, including diabetes and obesity.

Develop a balanced diet with your vet, and make sure your cat is healthy and safe!
